Today the Ingham Institute launched their centre for Robotics and Health Technology from the BaymatobTM premises. The Institute is one of the only in Australia to combine clinical expertise with commercial partnerships to oversee the life cycle of bringing life-saving treatments to market – from concepts to clinical trials to commercialisation and introduction into the healthcare systems. The event was a fantastic success attended by a number of individuals including special guest NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer Professor Hugh Durrant-Whyte, Ingham Institute’s Director of Research Professor Les Bokey, Ingham Institute's Chief Executive Officer Darryl Harkness, and Chief Executive Officer of BaymatobTM Dr Sarah McDonald.
BaymatobTM have been actively engaged with the Ingham Institute for clinical trial planning for OliTM. BaymatobTM and the OliTM device are an example of the types of technology and research that the Ingham Institute can help to facilitate to turn into real life outcomes.
